About KRAS architecten

We are KRAS; an experienced Ghent-based design agency consisting of 10 passionate (ir)architects. We focus on complex, inner-city developments and the transformation of existing buildings, including houses, offices, schools and other (public) institutions. The KRAS team is complementary and has extensive knowledge of private, government and PPS assignments at various scales. From feasibility studies and masterplanning to implementation, on-site construction management and interior design. Due to our compact scale, our directors are involved in every project. KRAS has a strong house philosophy: starting from our broad research and open minded attitude to design, we deliver functional design solutions with strong aesthetic realisations. We bring together craftsmanship and high-tech by combining our skills in hand sketching, foam- or 3D printed modelling with ‘walk-through’ Revit 3D models and Enscape visualisations. By deploying the right team for each project, we switch quickly and efficiently to focus on what really counts: purifying complex design issues and providing effective design solutions. Clear, powerful and future proof architecture is our goal. We look at the broader urban development and social framework within our projects, taking into consideration new forms of living, human encounters and participation. We develop designs to increase spatial efficiency, future circularity and affordability, for our current and future clients and users. As a result, our team offers a comprehensive answer to multiple design assignments. Our critical, research-orientated and innovative approach means we develop interiors, buildings and neighbourhoods that promote sustainable communities and have a positive impact upon society and the climate.
