About L3A - The Luxembourg Alternative Administrators Association

L3A (The Luxembourg Alternative Administrators Association) is the representative body of fund and corporate administrators of alternative assets in Luxembourg. Previously known as LIMSA, it was created in June 2004 by 15 founder-members. The association was renamed to the Luxembourg Alternative Administrators Association (L3A) in 2019, with an updated mission statement to "Promote the interests of Alternative Service Providers and contribute to the development of Luxembourg as the Investment Hub and Operations Centre of choice for Global Alternative Investment managers". To realise these objectives the Association takes initiatives in the following fields both a national and international level : - The organisation of seminars and other meetings; - The development of initiatives on a central level, which would be too costly or difficult for individual members; - Promoting the activities of members and the Luxembourg financial centre; - Defending the interests of its corporate members vis-à-vis the authorities, in particular by sitting on various consultation bodies and commissions, both nationally and internationally; - Maintaining contacts with the authorities, other professional organisations, professional chambers and other member institutions. The association maintains a Code of Conduct, available on its website, to which its members adhere. The Association consists of two categories of members : Full Members are Luxembourg legal entities carrying out activities of administration of alternative structures. Associate Members are Luxembourg legal entities offering specific services and operating within the real asset industry. In order to strengthen and broaden its communication platform towards local authorities and governmental bodies, L3A is a member of PROFIL, the Luxembourg Federation of Financial Sector's Professionals.
