About Laura Anselmi Design

Italian-born graphic designer working between London and Milan. MA degree in Communication Design and the Creative Economy (Kingston University - London). *** Being the daughter of an artist I have always been surrounded by paintings and a passion for the visual arts. Graphic Design is first of all a passion to me, everything that concern visual communication has always fascinated me since I was young. However, I chose to follow a more theoretical pathway during my high-school studies, engaging myself with the comprehension of the systematic and complex marketing's mechanisms. During those years I went through the main elements of the marketing mix, by planning market researches and marketing reports. Dealing with the visual communication aspect of the marketing I was introduced to a new reality, linked to advertising and brand communication. I first approached practical design during my first degree in graphic design, as fulfilment of my former interest in visual arts. Since then I have mostly dealt with Corporate Identity design and Visual Identity design setting the ground for more inspirational works. Being involved in such contemporary matter challanged my business logic view and opened my mind to new perspectives as I started producing artworks and illustrations. As in everything, I am driven by curiosity, thus the idea of exploring new forms of visual expression has led me to undertake the pathway of Visual Research gaining a MA qualification in Communication Design.
