About Leadership Excellence Institute Zeppelin | LEIZ
Initiated and supported by the Karl Schlecht Foundation and its founder, industrialist and philanthropist Karl Schlecht, the Leadership Excellence Institute | LEIZ came into being in 2013 when the Professorial Chair of Institutional Economics – Organizational Governance, Integrity Management & Transcultural Leadership (Josef Wieland) was established, followed in 2015 by the Professorial Chair of Economic Psychology & Leadership Ethics (Carmen Tanner). LEIZ fulfills its mission by: | conducting research in and between the areas of Corporate Governance, Behavioral Business Ethics, Corporate Culture and Transcultural Management Studies, | contributing extensively to Zeppelin University’s undergraduate-, postgraduate-, and executive education, | channeling its expertise into academic services to business, politics, and civil society. The idea upon which the Leadership Excellence Institute | LEIZ was founded was to merge both economic and psychological approaches into one consistent model that would integrate the level of the individual with the effectivity and efficiency of organizational structures. We call this approach Relational Leadership.
