About Life Through The Lens

Life Through The Lens specialises in providing photography and videography services for corporate and wedding clients. But I'm not your average run of the mill photographer/videographer. Originally from Swinton, South Yorkshire, but now living in Barry, South Wales. I’m probably not your average photographer/videographer, my main profession is being a net minder in the sport of ice hockey, specifically for the Cardiff Devils & Team GB. I get in front of pieces of vulcanised rubber traveling in excess of 100mph! However, I have always had a passion for film and photography but until about 2018 I never really had the confidence to offer my services to people and help capture their most special moments through my lens. I’m not the type of photographer that will make you do strange, awkward poses all day long at a wedding or for hours on end during an engagement shoot or pull every single person at an event outside just to get a shot that I want or saw on Pinterest. My job is to make sure you have fun and capture those natural moments where you are just simply you and when the people around you are in the now. That’s what makes for those perfects shots in my opinion. As for why I do this and why I love doing this...well two reasons: ~ The first is that I want to build ready for retirement from hockey and enter the real world ~ The second and main reason is that I love that feeling when my clients receive their photos and reply back with “Wow! They are amazing, we are absolutely in love with them”
