About LIFT Discipleship Program at CAMP-of-the-WOODS
LIFT Students are committed to their faith and to being servant leaders. They practice leading in a way that empowers others. Overcoming the challenges of adventure, living in community, and taking college classes, these students show that when you work with them you are working with the best. LIFT (Leaders In Further Training) is an intense year-long discipleship program operated by CAMP-of-the-WOODS, a Christian family resort in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of New York state. LIFT exists to deepen the faith of young men and women and equip them as leaders to faithfully serve Jesus Christ, living out their unique gifts and calling. LIFT accomplishes their goal by focusing on outdoor adventure, leadership, spiritual disciplines, academics*, missions, community, service, and professional development, The program concludes with a capstone experience in which students fill key leadership positions at CAMP-of-the-WOODS, Tapawingo, and Deerfoot Lodge during their excellent summer programming. *College credit is available through partnership with Cairn University, Houghton University, Roberts Wesleyan University, and Nyack College.
