About LightHouse Ohio

Through a strong partnership with Cleveland-based seed-stage investment firm LaunchHouse (www.launchhouse.com), LightHouse locates, validates, and accelerates startups by Northeastern Ohio high school students. We are a nonprofit organization. We offer our entrepreneurs access to workspace, mentors, investors, and a community in order to help them grow and be successful. LightHouse's flagship program is titled LEAP (LightHouse Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program). LEAP will 10 of Northeastern Ohio's most promising high school student startups and ideas. It will help scale already-existing businesses and develop new ones over the course of a 6-week summer program. Students will undergo a comprehensive curriculum adapted from an actual business accelerator and learn about everything from business financial essentials, to professionalism, to conducting market research. Students in our program will have access to personal mentors, workspace, investment monies, and other resources. Students who have built a viable company by the end of the month will be integrated into our year-round portfolio, where we will focus our efforts on helping them scale and grow their business. LightHouse also runs school-year seminars and workshops that are open to all Northeastern high school students. We are always looking for smart & motivated students!
