About Living Legends

Living Legends aims to empower children to take responsibility for their own destinies. Sport development and life skills training forms part of the Living Legends project, hereby embracing the healthy body-healthy mind mantra. Living Legends sports programme currently operates in 16 primary schools across the Western and Eastern Cape with a current reach of 12,000 children on a weekly basis. OUR VISION: Our dream is to create moments of interaction where living legends will be nurtured and inspired to become leaders that make a difference in their own lives, in the lives of their families, in their communities, in South Africa and in the world! OUR MISSION: Our aim is to nurture and inspire living legends through moments of interaction where children can develop skills, mature into leaders that embrace a culture of hope, take responsibility for their actions, think critically about circumstances, become autonomous yet participative decision-makers, respecting themselves as well as others, living a balanced, simple and authentic life. OUR PRINCIPLES: The Living Legends project core principles are Hope, Respect, Critical thinking, Autonomy, Responsibility, Potential, Balance, Authenticity and Simplicity.
