Living Woodlands specialises in creating community forests rich in native biodiversity. We work with individuals, businesses, schools and community groups to transform bare or under-used land into flourishing living woodlands. Our work is about more than just planting trees We work at the local level and all our biodiversity restoration projects are based in Ireland. We connect schools and community organisations with businesses that want to make a difference. We use the internationally recognised Miyawaki Method of afforestation and ecosystem restoration. This method means we can create urban Tiny Forests even on damaged sites in cities and towns and larger forest islands on degraded agricultural soils in rural areas.
