Mabunji Aboriginal Resource Indigenous Corporation ICN 8252 is a not for profit, charitable organisation, with head office at Robinson Rd, Mara Camp, Borroloola, Northern Territory, Australia. For over 40 years Mabunji have been representing the Garrawa, Gurdanji, Mara and Yanyula people. Building the sustainable, Aboriginal managed and governed organisation that supports prosperity for the people of the town camps and homelands in the Borroloola region through the maintenance of homelands, caring for our people, preserving culture and protecting sea and country. Mabunji remains central to the creation of a sustainable way of living that cares for people, culture and country of the Borroloola region. Mabunji is the largest employer in Borroloola engaging over 100 Staff and Volunteers. Mabunji’s 560 members vote the 20 Directors to represent the Borroloola Indigenous peoples from the near Homelands, Town Communities and Outstations (Garrawa, Mara and Yanyula Town Capms). Diversity is in Mabunji’s DNA, with over 50% of our staff and directors are female, and over 80% are of Indigenous heritage. Mabunji’s Leadership Team has been providing specialised services through below listed streams (businesses): - Waralungku Art Centre (contemporary and traditional art) - 8MAB Radio - Wunala Creche (providing early childhood development services) - Mabunji Workshop (maintenance, hire fixed and mobile equipment) - Malandari Aged Care (aged care for on-site and off-site patients and elderly) - Mabunji Safe House (providing safe place for most vulnerable, and domestic violence survivors) - LiArdubirri Play Group (parents as early childhood teachers) - LiAnthawarriyarra Sea Ranger Unit - Mabunji Commercial Operations (building, construction and facilities management services) - Mabunji Housing & Municipal Services (servicing 20 Camps, Homelands and Outstations) - Malandari Partnership (convenience store, petrol station and short term accommodation)
