About Macquarie Park Ryde Business Chamber

The Macquarie Park Ryde Business Chamber (MPRBC) is the umbrella Chamber for the Putney, Ryde and Macquarie Park local business areas. We work closely with Ryde City Council to support Ryde Local Government area businesses. The Macquarie Park Ryde Business Chamber runs multiple events throughout the year with the first Monday evening of each month being our regular Business After Hours event (Business after Hours events usually have around 100 attendees and are always hosted by one of our members). MPRBC’s various breakfast, lunch and Business After Hours events assist business in networking, to train business and to hear from all levels of government (Federal, State and Local) as well as other community groups regarding upcoming opportunities for the Ryde LGA. Additionally, we have run several co-operative events (Energise Eastwood, Google my Business, Connect Macquarie and Putney Village Street Fair for example). During covid-19 we have evolved to provide the majority of these events online and to teach our members on emerging technologies (Lifesize, Google Meet, Zoom). We have run joint events with Federal MP’s Michaelia Cash and John Alexander, with State Mp’s Damien Tudehope and Victor Dominello, Ryde Mayor Jerome Laxale as well as Presidents of the Korean Business Chamber, the AAAB, the Epping, Eastwood, Gladesville, Parramatta and West Ryde Chambers. We have members on the Ryde “Women In Business” and “Young Entrepreneur” working groups. Our President attends “CAWS” (Chamber Alliance of Western Sydney), the New South Wales Business Chamber, as well as sitting on a number of committee’s (Young Entrepreneur Awards, Night-time Economy, Economic Development Advisory Committee). Members of our executive regularly keep in touch with/attend other neighbouring chambers (The Hills Business Chamber, Chatswood Chamber, Manly Chamber, Mona Vale Chamber, etc).
