About MagenU
THE SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY. Magenu gives children, parents and educators tools to spot and prevent child sexual abuse. Through educational seminars and a comprehensive curriculum, Magenu has successfully spread the message to thousands. We focus on 3 groups - educators, parents & children. EDUCATORS: A teacher is the # 2 person a child discloses abuse to. Knowing what signs to look for and what to do afterward is a critical aspect of being a teacher. Magenu provides training at yeshivas and day schools so every educator can be knowledgeable on how to detect, react to abuse and be well-prepared to teach the Magenu Personal Safety Awareness Program to their students. Magenu.org PARENTS: Parents have a responsibility to keep their children safe, but child sexual abuse is a very challenging topic to cover. Magenu offers workshops, educational material, and online resources to help the adults in a child’s life be empowered to give kids the tools they need to stay safe, as well as manage a disclosure correctly. CHILDREN: Children need to know they’re cared for and heard. Magenu has developed a comprehensive age-appropriate curriculum reviewed and approved by leading experts and rabbanim for children. The Personal Safety Awareness Program includes multimedia, comic books, and fun educational material to train children on managing their feelings and delicately brief them on this difficult subject. The program is currently being taught in schools across the country. Magenu focuses on educating regular people - like you - on how to spot and prevent CSA - and to share that knowledge with others through our #LearnSharePrevent initiative.
