About Maine Roller Derby
Maine Roller Derby is Maine’s first and only women’s flat track roller derby league. The league began its formation in March 2006, and began practicing on skates in early June 2006. We are skater-owned and -operated, and currently have a roster of over 30 hard-hitting, fast-skating athletes. We are a proud member league of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (www.wftda.org), and are one of the hundreds of leagues across the nation that have embraced the quickly-growing sport of roller derby as it is skated on a flat track. Please visit the WFTDA website for more information about the national flat track derby.
