About Mandy and Pandy

Mandy and Pandy started as a way for me to teach my daughter, Mandy, Chinese. She is adopted from China, and there were few books at the book stores appropriate for teaching American kids. So I wrote one with her when she was 2, and it grew in popularity ~ with the adopted community, the ABCs - American Born Chinese, and the population interested in their kids being prepared for the global economy. We got a big break in year 2, when we were at the Book Expo in Los Angeles, a company called Porchlight Entertainment discovered us ~ we cut the deal the next day for them to produce a TV show with CCTV based on our books. Now we are working on scaling our enterprise to achieve the "tipping point" and have our following grow to the masses... we will leverage our relationship with Yao Ming, social media, tradtional PR, traditional book tour, national book distributors (PGW), telemarketing, eBooks, etc. To make this happen, we are fundraising to angels and small/medium sized funds.
