Materni is producing in Belgium a range of breastfeeding support accessories - FlowCup® and FlowSpoon®- next teats and a range of bottles with caps, specifically developed for the collection and storage of mother milk and milk managment for the nursing of babies in the hospital environment. The products are Medical Devices, suitable for Neonatology, Maternity and Pediatrics. Materni products are hygienically clean, single use and ready-to-use devices. No need to wash or clean them prior to use. Clean-by-Manufacturing (CBM) - Zero-Chemicals - Truly Sustainable: By means of a highly automated and innovative sterile Clean room ISO Class 5 "sterile production" platform, Materni products have systematically 0 CFU (bioburden), hence the products qualify as sterile. By our CBM production process we avoid the use of toxic carcinogenic Ethylene Oxide (EO) or gamma irradiation sterilisation. EO is a black listed Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC). EO is known to a TMR substance and is prohibited in the food industry in Europe. By our CBM approach Materni avoids neonates and babies to be exposed to EO residues during nursing. Furthermore, we avoid hundreds of truck movements to and from the EO sterilisation plant every year. Hence we truely contribute to a more sustainable society.
