About Mayo College of Further Education and Training

Mayo College of Further Education and Training was established in 2021 as the result of a merger of Castlebar College of Further Education and Westport College of Further Education. In April 2022 Mayo College assumed responsibility for all VTOS provision in six locations in Co, Mayo. In September 2022 we will add a Ballina Campus to the college. We update our course provision annually. Our programmes are contemporary and designed to reflect the practices of the work place. We offer a suite of courses for school leavers and adults, resulting in awards at Levels 4, 5 and 6. We offer a fresh and vibrant place to study and our aim is to ensure that lifelong learning opportunities are available to all. Students on our PLC courses may receive Level 5 or Level 6 awards which are nationally recognised and which are a stepping stone to further study or training.
