Aeration and ozonation are complicated procedures, but Mazzei patented technologies make these processes easier, more efficient, less expensive and more reliable. Mazzei began in 1978 with its patented venturi injectors for the agricultural market and continues to provide solutions for irrigation problems today. In addition to chemigation and fertigation, Mazzei has developed technology to help with crop yield and soil health—AirJection irrigation. It optimally blends air and water in drip line systems to deliver the right mixture to the root zone… preventing the soil from becoming anaerobic which would inhibit growth and yield. For wine fermentation, Mazzei has a wine pump-over injector for macro aeration. Wine is pumped through the injector which draws in and uniformly distributes oxygen into the juice improving the fermentation process. The oxygen dose can be honed with a metering value and flowmeter so that it can be monitored and controlled. Today Mazzei maintains its focus on research and development and is utilizing in-house computational fluid dynamics software to improve its mixing and contacting technologies.
