As an experienced Head of Production/Senior Production Manager working in Film & TV industry I constantly get asked "How do I get into the industry?" and "How do I progress in the industry?". That was why I wanted to set up my company which aims to support new-entrants and established freelancers, whether they are looking to get their foot in the door or find their next job. This is done through one to one career advice, mentoring and talks/training. Utilizing my recruitment experience, my one to one career advice sessions focus on writing CVs and Cover Letters, Interview Techniques and Negotiating Skills to give these new entrants and established freelancers the knowledge and confidence to achieve their career goals. I am a mentor for various organisations including Coleg Y Cymoedd and BECTU Cymru and am currently studying for an ILM in Coaching and Mentoring qualification. I also run training courses combining my wealth of experience and my Level 3 Train the Trainer qualification. I have experienced it myself and am often told that there is no time to learn properly in the fast-paced Film & TV industry, with very few professional courses out there, especially in unscripted TV. I aim to fill that gap by providing extensive training to give freelancers the confidence to progress in their careers. I work with schools, colleges, universities and organisations to provide talks and workshops on subjects such as how to get into Film & TV, CV workshops as well as bespoke talks and workshops if required.
