About MediCore Oncology

In 2023 in the U.S. there will be an estimated 2 Million new cancer cases. At MediCore Oncology, we aim to empower cancer patients with compassionate, evidence-based mental health screenings. We partner with oncologists to provide integrated care, promoting mental health and well-being for patients as they navigate the complexities of cancer diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. Incorporating integrated mental health care early in a patient's care plan is crucial for enhancing access to care and clinical outcomes. In most cases, symptoms are not always obvious. An upbeat patient may fall apart once they are alone, or a patient who is determined to beat their cancer can slowly worsen over time, becoming hopeless or overwhelmed. We have developed programs to bridge this gap with a clear understanding that it will require navigating the known barriers to integration including financial (insurance and reimbursement), staffing resources, and administrative challenges.
