About MOMs House of Ohio

Formed in 2020, we are a small but mighty non-profit established in Minerva Park, a pocket community in the Greater Columbus area. Our mission is to empower adolescents through building skills and cultivating purpose in safe, creative spaces. Here, our youth can process trauma and heal in ways that are both theraputic and artfully expressive. Our core initiatives throughout the year include: - Tastemakers (a collaboration between our free seed and garden resource library, free healthy foods for families initiative, and holistic hands nutritional cooking program) - Co-Peerant (a program that brings small, generational groups together within the community to discuss and solve everyday issues regarding raising adolescents, mental health, resiliency and SEL, and how healing ourselves heals the collective) - UnComposed Orchestra (part slam poetry, part classical music group, part modern music production) - Makeit Takeit Art Gallery (free art with neighborhood inclusion plus resources to make art more accessible) - Bus Stop Thrift Shop (providing a creative outlet for youth to discover their personal style, rework clothes and home goods in sustainably stylish ways, and to bring the thrift store concept even closer to home w/ bus routes in mind)
