"All too often, sewer problems in the oil & gas, petro-chemical and power industries are dealt with in a hurried and haphazard manner. The typical modus operandi for a faulty sewer line/pipe is to cobble together a crew of under-trained technicians and blast a high-pressure jetter (a likely more damaging remedy to already cracked and corroded pipes) through the "blockage" until the water runs clean. But for how long does this prove a solution? A day, a week, a month, or maybe a year at best until the problem repeats itself? At Motivo Group, we classify those methods and results as unsatisfactory, being more costly than the "repair" itself and leading to potentially disastrous consequences. Motivo Group's multi-faceted approach is to thoroughly diagnose the issue from the micro (pipe) level to the macro (systemic) level using Risk Based Inspection Methodology, advanced cleaning techniques and remote video equipment. This thorough diagnosis allows for application of appropriate remediation solutions that include specialty cleaning, trench-less repair and system mapping. With clear imaging, our recommendations for sewer restoration are readily actionable. There are already an overwhelming and still growing number of facilities experiencing moderate to severe breakdowns in their underground sewer systems. Motivo Group feels this issue is reaching, if not has already reached, a critical mass.
