Here is a refreshing story: A Honda Tier 1 Supplier based in South Carolina struggling with excess raw material inventory was able to save $1 Million in 4 months after implementing Murano Corporation's cloud based and Honda approved Supply Chain Manager's predictive capabilities. This Tier 1 supplier now uses Supply Chain Manager to directly received Honda's forecasts (EDI 830), Shipment Schedules (EDI 862), Purchase Orders (EDI 850) and convert them into internal production orders and generates Advance Ship Notices (ASN/856) automatically and sends it to Honda and gets paid electronically (EDI 820) and posted in Supply Chain Manager. Their complete Forecast/Order-To-Cash process is handled in multi-tenant cloud based Supply Chain Manager. The contract was signed in Jan 2017 and the customer went live on Nov 3, 2017 when the first live ASN was sent to Honda and the trucks carried the finished products to Honda plant. Murano team worked closely with the Tier 1 supplier in generating this significant cost savings. For remainder of 2018, the Tier 1 supplier is working on implementing 5S, Just-In-Time/Sequencing, Honda's Labeling Minimal Process Requirement (LMPR) and gain ISO 9001 certification.
