MWP Architects was started in 1997. Originally founded by Michael Philippides, Arthur Messaris and Andre Wapenaar as an extension of a Gauteng based office MWP has established itself in the Cape Town market as an ethical and reputable firm offering good solid designs based on current international trends. We pride ourselves on our sustainable and locally appropriate design approach which we package into a well detailed and presented building form. We believe in building strong relationships with our clients to better understand their needs and some have been with us since the day we opened our doors. While our work is primarily based throughout South Africa, we are currently working on projects in all neighbouring countries - Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique - and are also working on sites in Kenya, China and Portugal. Now in our 26th year, our partnership has changed and the company is under the leadership of Michael Philippides, Ruth Daniels and Andile Sokhela.
