أٌنشئت الهيئة الوطنية للتحكيم الرياضي بموجب الفصل التاسع من القانون رقم 87 لسنة 2017 في شأن الرياضة، وذلك إيماناً من المشرع الكويتي بأهمية وجود هيئة وطنية مستقلة تتولى حل جميع المنازعات الرياضية داخل دولة الكويت من خلال منظومة ذات معايير عالمية توفر خدماتها بسلاسة، وشفافية، وكفاءة، وحيادية، وسرعة عالية The National Sports Arbitration Tribunal (NSAT) established according to Chapter Nine of Law No. 87 of 2017 of Sport. This establishment was due to the Kuwaiti legislative belief of the importance and the need of the existence of an independent national body to be responsible for resolving all sports disputes within the State of Kuwait through a system with global standards that provides its services efficiently, transparently, impartially, and quickly.
