About Nebraska Black Doula Collective
Nebraska Black Doula Collective (NBDC) is an Omaha-based, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded and led by Aledia Mikale and Asia Price. The organization was born out of a need for quality care and representation in maternal health. As a result, Mikale and Price were determined to build their own “table” for their disinvested community to sit at — allowing birthing people to be heard, educated and given whole-person support. NBDC has a competent database of certified Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) doulas providing support across the state of Nebraska. These Doulas are ready to provide quality perinatal, birthing, and postpartum care.
