About Nederlands Slaap Instituut

Het Nederlands Slaap Instituut is een focuskliniek die mensen, ouder dan 16 jaar, met slaapapneu en slapeloosheid (insomnie) diagnosticeert en behandelt. Gestart in 2009, en inmiddels uitgegroeid tot de grootste landelijk werkende slaapkliniek. Per jaar doen wij inmiddels meer dan 5.000 slaaponderzoeken. Wij kennen geen wachttijden en de doorlooptijd vanaf aanmelding tot behandeling is gemiddeld 6-8 weken. In tegenstelling tot veel reguliere ziekenhuizen, zijn wij van mening dat patiënten met slaapstoornissen erbij gebaat zijn om niet onnodig veel onderzoeken in 2e-lijns zorg te ondergaan. Daarom verwijzen wij patiënten zo snel mogelijk weer naar de huisarts, omdat deze de patiënt en zijn eigen omgeving ook het beste kent. Onze medisch specialisten (longgeneeskunde, neurologie) zijn somnoloog en hebben het examen van Expert in Sleep Medicine van ESRS behaald. Landelijke dekking Het Nederlands Slaap Instituut werkt landelijk. Het slaaponderzoek vindt bij u thuis plaats en u kunt op verschillende locaties in het land terecht voor het spreekuur bij de medisch specialist. Deze neemt ruim de tijd voor u om het onderzoek en een eventuele behandeling met u te bespreken. Het Nederlandse Slaap Instituut werkt met en voor meerdere Universitaire Medische Centra.
