About Nederlandse Bartenders Club (Dutch Bartenders Guild)

De Nederlandse Bartenders Club (NBC) werd opgericht op 12 december 1949. Plaats van handeling: het ‘Torenzaaltje’ van het Amsterdamse American Hotel. De NBC is aangesloten bij de International Bartenders Association (IBA), een mondiale organisatie, waarbij meer dan 60 landen zijn aangesloten. De IBA organiseert jaarlijks de World Cocktail Competition (WCC). De NBC: al bijna 60 jaar de club van en voor de Nederlandse bartender. De NBC is een beroepsgroep, die als doel heeft het beroep bartender op een hoger niveau brengen in Nederland. De NBC doet dat in nauwe samenwerking met haar sponsorgroep, de Stichting Vrienden van de NBC, waarin het overgrote deel van de Nederlandse drankenproducenten en drankenimporteurs zijn verenigd. Verder is de NBC actief in de organisatie van trainingen en workshops en clubevenementen als de NBC Clublunch (4x per jaar), en de traditionele NBC Kerstmatinee op 12 december. De NBC biedt 1 x per jaar jonge leden onder de 28 de kans om deel te nemen aan de John White Course. Een internationale bartenders opleiding van de Internationale Bartenders Association. Deze opleiding wordt volledig betaald door de Nederlandse Bartenders Club.
