About Nevada Society of CPAs

For nearly 60 years, the professional association of the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants (NVCPA) has worked to enhance the practice of accounting in Nevada through member services, support and advocacy. Today, the NVCPA is an association of more than 1,600 accounting practitioners working to better serve the profession’s and public’s interest throughout the state. Pursuing its mission, the Society administers special interest group initiatives, legislative monitoring efforts, and continuing professional education (CPE) courses. One of the intangibles the NVCPA provides its members is a forum in which to network with fellow CPAs. Through local chapter luncheons in Las Vegas and Reno and statewide conferences, members have the opportunity to meet new contacts with expertise in niche accounting areas. Using these and other approaches, the NVCPA works to advance the practice of accounting in Nevada. It serves its members by providing educational programs, governmental advocacy, and self-regulating activities. It serves the public by providing educational articles, special lecture programs, and through presentations to organizations across the state.
