The A-Z Solution for journalism. What began as an idea in the 90s of creating an A-Z solution for sustainable journalism, from conception, through to publication and monetization, is now a working reality. NewsX has grown organically over the years, from experimenting with income funding to adapting, and trying to make a difference at the same time with a diverse journalism portfolio. Our quality news informs, educates, and changes live and is paid for by the sale of our entertainment news. As NewsX has been taking shape, we have not had sponsors, grants, investors, advertising, PR, or marketing. At its heart is a return to traditional values, partnered with the potential for modern technology to finally automate the mundane, leaving the rest to real people who share the same values. At NewsX, journalism comes before profit, and we have cemented that by registering to be a Community Interest Company where the importance of journalism, rather than profit, is enshrined in our mission statement. At NewsX, editorial and advertising are separate, so much so that we have no direct advertising. Instead, we accept such material only if third-party publishers want to share it. It also needs to be clearly labeled and is not included in our news feed. When local news brands and specialist media started to vanish, the grassroots reporting that was the viral news of the next day, and the training ground for the new generation of reporters disappeared as well. NewsX is starting to rebuild this network as sustainable communities by harnessing the passion and expertise of these communities.
