About Nurtured Child Practice

The Nurtured Child Practice is committed to supporting Schools, Parents, Carers and Social Care Agencies across the UK who care for and engage with intense and difficult Children or Young People, through the delivery of the Nurtured Heart Approach® training. The Nurtured Heart Approach® is a relationship-focused methodology founded strategically in The 3 Stands™ for helping children (and adults) build their Inner Wealth® and use their intensity in successful ways. The essence of the approach is a set of core methodologies originally developed for working with the most difficult children. It has a proven impact on every child, including those who can be challenging behaviourally, socially and academically. The Nurtured Heart Approach® has also been shown to create transformative changes in children diagnosed with ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder and other behavioural, emotional and anxiety related symptoms – almost always without the need for long-term mental health treatment. Children experiencing social cognitive challenges, like Autism and Asperger Syndrome greatly benefit from the approach, helping to reduce the need for traditional mental health and medical interventions. The aim of the Nurtured Heart Approach is to develop healthy relationships, building Inner Wealth® encompassing self-esteem, self-confidence and compassion, which lead us to find our inner greatness. We provide training and programmes specifically tailored to your children, young people and environmental needs, delivered by our certificated and licensed practitioner.
