About Ocean Conservation Foundation

As a non-profit based in the Florida Keys drawing on a large staff of professional divers and the expertise of our scientific partners and collaborators, we will harness all resources available in order to restore a healthy reef system. This includes rebuilding coral populations, restoring reef ecosystems and mitigating harmful human effects like debris accumulation in our waters. We aim to accomplish this restoration as quickly as possible since we believe the oceans cannot wait any longer. Ocean Conservation Foundation is a unique non-profit organization because we harness an army of dive professionals, a navy of dive boats, and marine conservation experts to enhance the conservation work scientists are already doing. By adding this network of professional dive resources to other ongoing conservation activities, OCF will provide the execution and manpower that is currently missing from the conservation formula to restore the reefs as quickly as possible. OCF professional dive staff can accomplish exponentially more restoration work than volunteers in the same amount of time. Where a restoration volunteer can plant a few dozen corals in an afternoon, our dive professionals can plant several hundred. By combining the scientific restoration work already taking place with our ability to quickly execute the physical restoration, we will help restore the reefs more quickly than ever.
