About Original Appearance Manufacturing
We had people coming into our body shop for years asking for a cheap way to "fix" their rust. They couldn't afford structural repairs, but they had some money to spend and wanted their cars to look good again. Unfortunately, other options did not exist and they were forced to live with their rusty vehicle. We hated turning customers away, and it wasn't just about money. We love cars and we love helping people, so we set out to come up with a solution. We developed Quick Covers in a body shop using customer cars to test prototypes. As our quality improved, we always kept ease-of-installation and cost top of mind. In 2017 we incorporated as Quick Covers Corrosion Solutions and began marketing our products to other body shops. In 2018 we successfully launched an eCommerce site. We realized our manufacturing expertise could be applied to other product lines, but the Quick Covers name limited us to one product identity. So in 2019 we changed the name of the company to Original Appearance Manufacturing (OAM) retaining “Quick Covers” as the name brand for our plastic rocker kits. We’re now experimenting with new technologies (3D scanning, 5-axis machining, IoT, and 3D printing) to grow our manufacturing segment into a one stop shop for new product development.
