About Our Parenting Journeys

Our Parenting Journeys aims to support, equip and empower parents, wherever they are on their parenting journey. The early years in family life are some of the most challenging, especially when parenting far away from close support networks, as is the case for many families in the Geneva area. At the same time, it is widely documented in research that the early years in a child’s life are critical to their future health and wellbeing. It is undoubtedly a moment in life where we all could do with practical support and expert advice to make the best decisions in line with our parenting values. Many families feel unable to access parenting support services and therefore are facing this critically important and yet incredibly challenging season of life without the needed assistance. In August 2021, we conducted a survey to understand the parenting support needs of families in and around Geneva. The results overwhelmingly indicated that expat- parents wanted and needed support, particularly for those more comfortable speaking in English. In order to help meet this need, Our Parenting Journeys, a new social enterprise was launched in Geneva in June 2022. The services we offer have been developed based on the survey results and aim to provide holistic, evidence-based parenting support parents can trust. Led by a Parenting Coach, Specialist Family Nurse and GroBrain Practitioner with over 15 years of experience supporting families. Our Parenting Journeys also offers a multidisciplinary approach to parenting support and partners with a Clinical Psychologist specialised in family support, Sleep Specialist, Lactation Consultant and several very experienced Midwives.
