About Overhead Studio
Overhead Studio is an academic, contextual, and process based architecture and urban design practice. Overhead aspires to look up, bringing everyone together under one roof to reinforce the role of shelter at all scales. Our practice began from a desire to improve our built environments through positive, cyclical, directed design action. It is through a process-based, participatory lens by which Andrew and Chris organize their firm. With a deep reverence for context and local histories, Overhead chose to settle in the Ingraham Building of Downtown Miami. It is during this period of intense revitalization that Overhead participates in the reimagining of a storied place by inhabiting one of the city’s oldest relics. While headquartered in Miami, Overhead’s projects span North America and Europe. Likewise the scale of our work navigates a vast array of project types including art installations, private residences, masterplans, and regional transportation plans.
