About Partnership for Global Security
The Partnership for Global Security (PGS) is a recognized international leader and innovator in the nuclear and transnational security policy area. It provides actionable responses to 21st century security challenges by engaging international, private sector, and multidisciplinary expert partners to assess policy needs, identify effective strategies, and drive demonstrable results. PGS is constantly evaluating how the convergence of security, technology, and economic issues influence global nuclear challenges. With 20 years of experience, PGS’ focus on strategic thinking and deep understanding of how to shape, write, and package timely, authoritative, and actionable policy proposals for busy policymakers has led to new international security programs and millions in funding for nuclear security. PGS has a unique perspective on the nuclear security challenge and a track record of creating broad and integrated networks and public-private partnerships to address transnational issues. PGS was originally incorporated as the Russian-American Nuclear Security Advisory Council (RANSAC) in 1997. At that time, the organization worked with the U.S. government and those in Russia and the former Soviet states to ensure the elimination of Soviet nuclear and biological stockpiles and to peacefully reemploy their weapons scientists. Since that time, the organization has broadened its focus to address critical emerging global security challenges.
