Our Mission To provide comprehensive education, health and human services to reduce homelessness of underserved youth while promoting their development and enriching the communities of Los Angeles County. OUR PROGRAM ¨ “Pathways to Success” Transitional Housing Program has provided housing and supportive housing services to 300 homeless youth over the past 6 years ¨ 87% of clients are emancipated foster care youth ¨ 90% African American, 8% Hispanic and 1% White ¨ 75% Female, 25% Male ¨ 52% of clients are enrolled in GED prep, college, or a trade school ¨ 17% of clients are employed ¨ 35% are actively seeking employment ¨ 80% receive job preparation classes ¨ 57% of our clients received permanent housing within the first year in the pro gram Provide evidenced based program, “Toward No Tobacco/Toward No Drug” education to 91 students at 5 Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) Alternative Schools ¨ Provide Youth Development Program including case management, job prep and referrals, teen pregnancy prevention, anger management and self-esteem classes to 92 students at 4 LACOE Community Day Schools ¨ Homeless youth advocacy through the John Burton Foundation and homeless advocacy in South Los Angeles through the Los Angeles Homeless Restoration Advisory Committee ¨ 108 homeless housing referrals for homeless transition aged youth, ages 18-24
