About Peckings Records
George 'Peckings' Price started out in Kingston JA. He initiated the 1st ever soundclash & helped Coxsone Dodd to establish Studio One. Armed with a suitcase of vinyl he came to the UK in 1960 and built a distribution network for S1 & others leading to opening his shop in 1973. After his passing his sons Chris & Duke set up the Peckings label to build on the legacy established by their father.
