About Phima Voyages

Phima Voyages is a sustainable tour operator specializing in tailor-made rural tourism in Northern Peru and in Latin America. After the creation of Phima Voyages in 2015 in Chachapoyas, the capital of the Amazonas region, we have expanded our activities to the different parts of Northern Peru: Huaraz, Trujillo, Chiclayo, Cajamarca, Chachapoyas and Tarapoto. Since 2018 we also offer trips to Colombia, Chile and Ecuador. By travelling with Phima Voyages, our travelers can experience community-based rural tourism. Homestays and traditional activities, exchange with our local partners will give them incredible insight into their daily life and make their trip a very special one. A trip planned with Phima Voyages is tailor-made and exactly designed to our customer’s needs. As experts in our destinations, we provide first-hand information and unique experiences. Our trips include a private driver and a private professional guide. All our staff members and freelance team members are constantly trained in customers service, first aid or archaeological issues. Phima Voyages is committed to the three principles of sustainable tourism: People, Planet, Profit. By accompanying local communities in their tourism development, through conservation of their environment and the maintaining of their culture and traditions, we help them to gain a supplementary income. At the same time, we empower the women in the communities and give employment or entrepreneur opportunities to the local youth. In 2019 Phima Voyages got “Travelife Partner” certified, and we renewed the certificate in 2022. We are part of the “Tourism Declares Climate Emergency” movement and keep an Impact Report of our impact with our local partners since 2018.
