✨ What happens to our public spaces when the sun goes down? This was the central question explored during the AfterDark Placemaking Weekend in Bengaluru, where city thinkers, planners, designers, and community leaders came together to reimagine urban life after sunset. It was a pleasure to represent Placemaking Pakistan and share our experiences from Lahore — a city that transforms after dark with its rich culture, street life, public gatherings, and vibrant food corridors. Through our presentation on “Life After Dark in Lahore,” we highlighted how cultural expression, community resilience, and public space activation continue well into the night, even in the face of infrastructural and safety challenges. From biodiversity and lighting to gender safety and inclusive design, this event was a dynamic blend of walks, workshops, and dialogue that left us inspired and better connected across borders.
