The Podole Wielkie Distillery Podole Wielkie’s products are crafted in the village of the same name, at a traditional family-run agricultural distillery, spanning over a 150 years of history and is an integral part of a 500-year old farm. The entire process of creating our products takes place in harmony with the idea of ‘from our fields to the bottle’ – from cultivating the grain and potatoes, harvesting and eventually hand-bottling and labelling the bottles with the finished distillates. Podole Wielkie vodkas and Okowitas are crafted in stark contrast to the unbiased approach of usual alcoholic distillates. By using the highest quality raw materials and distilling in a custom-made copper still, it has been possible to preserve the taste of the raw material in the final product. This approach to distillation results in flavour variations depending on the year, the weayher, the field, and which variety of potatoes or grains has been used. This is why Podole Wielkie’s products are vintaged and the whole production philosophy is analogous to the French terroir.
