Progressive Urban Real Estate (PURE) was founded in 1986 at a time when property in Cleveland was not viewed as a good investment. Well before the trend of returning to urban neighborhoods became popular, PURE recognized that there was an abundance of underutilized housing, land and commercial properties throughout the city. There were also many interested buyers to whom these properties were not being promoted. The company saw its mission as bringing the two together.
