About Promise Labor Benefits
Promise Labor Benefits was formed to give Locals of any trade access to affordable, collectively bargained Medicare retiree health benefits. Promise Labor Benefits is partnered with the Delaware Valley Heath Care Coalition (DVHCC) to bring health care plans to Medicare eligible union retirees. These exclusive, affordable plans are not available on the individual market. The DVHCC is the largest labor coalition of its kind in the United States with over 250 member Funds covering over 3 million individuals. Promise Plans are not a replacement for Medicare retiree health plans you may already be receiving from your Fund. Promise Plans are explicitly for Medicare retirees who do not meet their Funds eligibility requirements to receive retiree health benefits OR Medicare eligible retirees without access to a Fund sponsored group retiree health plan. These plans offer nationwide coverage through a passive PPO and include prescription drug coverage for 99.6% of all Medicare approved Part D prescription drugs. Extra benefits include vision, dental, hearing and coverage for many other benefits not covered by original Medicare.
