About PsychedeliCare Initiative

PsychedeliCare is a European Citizens' Initiative (ECI) for the therapeutic use of psychedelics and to improve mental wellbeing in the EU. An ECI is a transnational request, a unique way for people of different States to help shape the EU, by calling on the European Commission to propose new laws. Once the initiative has reached 1 million signatures from at least 7 EU countries, the Commission will decide on what action to take. Succeeding, we can present our proposals to the European Commission and potentially the European Parliament. Our mission is to help EU citizens, health professionals and policy makers, to shape new laws concerning these efficacious medicines. We plan to launch this initiative by October 2024. Our Goals: 1. Raise awareness about the benefits of psychedelic therapies 2. Spark social and political debates from the ground up 3. Improve mental wellbeing across the EU with safe, innovative treatments We are a grassroots movement, made up of a diverse team that includes scientists, medical professionals, neuroscience researchers, creative minds, entrepreneurs, artists, policy experts, human rights activists, spiritual practitioners, educators, and more.
