About Pumpkins Pets and Youth Services
At Pumpkins Pets and Youth Services, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive and quality pet care services. From grooming sessions that ensure your pets look and feel their best to specialized three-level dog training programs, agility course training for an active and engaged lifestyle, and a safe and comfortable boarding facility – we've got it all. Our services extend to pet daycare, where your furry companions can socialize and play, and dog walking for those moments when they need a breath of fresh air. Soon, we'll be introducing veterinary care to offer a complete range of services for your beloved pets. Wendy's Wish Youth Program: Wendy's Wish is our free educational program designed by Wendy Brooker focuses on empowering youth and teens. This program is divided into three age groups, each tailored to address the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals at different stages of their development. The youth program is named in the memory of its founder Wendy who sadly passed away before getting to see the program working its magic on the youth and teens. We know she's smiling down on us watching over all the youth and teens in her program. Group 1 (Ages 10-13): Duration: 8 weeks Curriculum: Introduction to pet care, responsible pet ownership, pet nutrition, grooming techniques, self-nutrition, and self-care (hygiene). Group 2 (Ages 14-17): Duration: 7 weeks Curriculum: Pet CPR and first aid, animal behavior, mental health awareness, coping skills, social skills, and agility course training.
