Our firm, Retirement Income Solutions, Inc. (RIS), is an independent registered investment advisor. Our independence from being owned by a bank, insurance company, mutual fund company or Wall Street brokerage firm enables us to make unbiased recommendations rather than ones that might favor the advisor’s employer. There are few firms in the Ann Arbor and southeastern Michigan area that can provide advice on individual, joint and trust accounts in conjunction with 401ks, 403bs, TIAA-CREF, IRAs and other retirement accounts. RIS can advise on all these areas and provide an integrated strategy for all the accounts that maybe appropriate for your family. A key part of that advice is setting appropriate goals and that means helping clients focus on the important financial issues, not just those issues on the minds of clients.
