About Richmond Local History Society

Our Society explores the history of Richmond, Kew, Petersham and Ham (now in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames) and the people who have lived here. We hold evening talks, usually on the second Monday of the month, organise walks and visits, and publish books on topics of local interest. Our triple award-winning journal (Richmond History), has been published annually from 1981 to 2024.
