About Santosha at Hillholm Estate

Santosha at Hillholm Estate, located in Kingfield, ME, is a nondenominational yoga and mindfulness retreat center and boutique hotel, housed in an 1895 Gilded Age mansion, and tucked away in the Carrabassett Valley. Santosha offers all-inclusive retreats throughout the year for solo travelers and groups alike. Daily in our full-time retreat center, guests enjoy 4 delicious meals, 3 yoga classes, 2 meditation opportunities, and our popular nightly dharma talk. As a resource to the community, Santosha also offers daily drop-in yoga classes; nightly hotel accommodations for tourists; mindfulness workshops; writing seminars and guest speakers; community suppers and festive parties; and a community tennis and pickleball program. Santosha also hosts private yoga retreats organized by teachers for their students; corporate retreats; and other celebrations and gatherings. On-site amenities include 20 ensuite, freshly renovated guest rooms; a Maine pine-lined yoga shala; the estate's original clay tennis court; cedar barrel sauna and jacuzzi; expansive grounds; a natural amphitheatre; and direct access to the west branch of the Carrabassett River. Guests enjoy a menu of diverse Healing Arts, ranging from massage to reiki to acupuncture. Winter's Table is Hillholm's farm-to-table fine dining restaurant, serving a prix fixe chef's tasting menu at 7:00 p.m. every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening for the public. The Lounge features Prohibition Era craft cocktails and mocktails, curious wines, Maine craft beers, and elevated pub fare, 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. Santosha is also home to the Hillholm Writing Residency, a biannual residency for emerging writers, offered in partnership with From The Fishouse, an audio archive of emerging poets reading their work.
