About SciClix

SciClix is a spinoff from Institute of Chemical & Engineering Sciences (ICES), Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR) Singapore. While we continue to work closely with our mothership, we are exclusively focused on the discovery, design, and development of new functional molecules made from novel building-blocks. We believe that exploration of new chemical space holds a tremendous potential and promise for new discoveries in various chemical industries such as pharmaceutical, agrochemistry, polymer, food and fragrances. Such explorations start with discovery and synthesis of new building blocks themselves, and hence we invest significant time in development of synthetic routes to such motifs. We also strongly believe that innovations work best when we put our heads together. Therefore, we are open for any meaningful collaborations. For example, we have collaborated with clinician-scientists from National Cancer Center of Singapore for discovery projects and our building blocks are marketed by one of the finest suppliers of new chemical motifs, IRIS Biotech GmbH. While SciClix has its own mission, we consider it our responsibility to support other discovery companies with our expertise. We are eager to play a constructive role in further developing the growing discovery ecosystem in Singapore especially in the chemicals area.
