About Science Rendezvous
Science Rendezvous is a non-profit organization founded by Prof. R. J. Dwayne Miller in 2008 that partners with Canada's top universities & research institutions to coordinate an annual science festival in celebration & promotion of Canadian science. In its inaugural year, Science Rendezvous drew 13,500 attendees at 8 event sites within the Greater Toronto Area. Since that time, attendance at the annual event has grown by 160%. In 2011, Science Rendezvous went national as a part of the International Year of Chemistry, educating well over 30,000 participants. The 2012 festival attracted more than 150,000 attendees & 4,000 volunteers. Science Rendezvous now partners with 40 institutional partners that host over 300 Science Rendezvous events spanning 9 provinces.
