About Seaway Valley Prevention Council
The Seaway Valley Council for Alcohol/Substance Abuse Prevention, Inc. (the Council) is dedicated to helping create a community where children and adults can live in healthy environments that are free from the effects of the diseases of alcoholism and other addictions. This is accomplished through education, collaboration, advocacy, referral and support. Created in 1987, the Seaway Valley Council for Alcohol/Substance Abuse Prevention, Inc. was incorporated in its present form as a non-profit corporation under the laws of the State of New York. The original corporate name was The Alcohol and Substance Abuse Council of St. Lawrence County, Inc. which was changed to our current name in 1994. Its headquarters and principal place of business is located at 2 Riverside Drive, Canton, New York.
